For your first appointment
I love meeting new patients, especially those new to acupuncture. I look forward to meeting you and working on your individual health concerns.
Please be sure to eat a meal, or in the least, some protein before your appointment.
Please try, if you can, to schedule a little rest or down time after your appointment. Alternatively, please refrain from physically strenuous activities (like working out) for a few hours after your appointment.
Be sure to fill out our new patient intake before your appointment. We will send this to you after you schedule your first appointment.
You can submit your health insurance benefits information when you schedule your first appointment.
What to expect
During your first appointment we will have a full 90 minutes together. We will spend the first 30 minutes discussing your health and health history.
For your first appointment and any subsequent appointments you may receive a combination of acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, massage, moxibustion, herbal formulas, and/or lifestyle recommendations. You may be prescribed herbs or supplements to be taken to help you feel better. I will give you specific instructions on how to take these.
Once you’re on the table, you can expect to become very relaxed and have an opportunity to sink into some restfulness.
If you have any questions about any of the techniques I use during your appointment, please feel free to ask.
At the end of your appointment, you will receive a detailed treatment plan.
I am dedicated to helping you improve your health. At times, I may refer you to other providers for additional care so that you can get better faster. These providers may be any type of provider: Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Naturopathic Physicians, Dentists, Orthopedic Doctors, Physical Therapists, and others.
